Y’all, I had such a blast antique shopping with my friend last weekend. We both found some cool stuff and I’ll share what I got next Friday. I just haven’t had a sec to take pictures and pull that together this past week.
And now on to our regularly scheduled programming…
Linking up with these awesome bloggers to share some Friday Faves today:
In case you missed it, I shared my Enjoy the Month for March on Monday! I’ve got a list of 10 things that you can do this month to help you enjoy the season and month that we’re currently in.
One of my March things to do is get a landscaping plan in motion. Our little casa needs some serious lovin’ this Spring, I have two Camellias, one holly bush that survived and some lambs ears and that is about it.
Kind of looks like a serial killer lives at our house.
So, I’ve been looking to Pinterest for some landscaping inspiration and I will surely be making some pretty window boxes like this, this year.
Are any of y’all looking to spruce up your landscape/curb appeal this Spring?
So I found another podcaster I’ve been listening to this week; Tiffany Han.
I’ve only listened to a few episodes so far, but I love how honest she is about this whole “starting a creative business” thing. There are some people out there who promise you instant success and that you’ll make $50,000 a month if you join their program but that just doesn’t seem realistic to me. I’m sure it’s happened, but those people are an anomaly. It’s like winning the lottery.
Here’s Tiffany’s take on that in her own words about the truth on starting your own creative business:
“Having a successful business? Takes time. Bravely stepping into the life you want for yourself? Is uncomfortable. Taking bold risks towards that business you’ve only up-until-now imagined for yourself? Is hard as hell.”
She interviews some awesome peeps on her Podcast and she also has some solo episodes so if you’re looking to turn your creative passion into a business, I definitely recommend listening.
Bates Motel is back on y’all, and Rihanna is in this season?!
Unfortunately for her, I don’t think things are going to end well, but I have been loving the two episodes the last season has given us so far.
Do any of y’all watch? It’s creepy, but it’s so good.
My last couple weekends have been pretty busy so I’m looking forward to having a weekend at home to clean and start a new house project. (details on that coming soon)
In between the house project and cleaning, I’m hoping to get down to Little Washington and look around sometime this weekend. It’s about 10 minutes from where we live and it’s home to the famous The Inn at Little Washington, a place where all the fancy D.C peeps come to escape.
Personally, I’m much more into visiting small towns than over-crowded cities. Do y’all have any small towns you like to visit?
That’s all for today folks, I hope y’all enjoy your weekend, let me know what you’re up to in the comments!
