TGIF- Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everybody! I’ve been hearing about all sorts of crazy weather around the country this week so I hope everyone is staying safe out there.

I’m linking up with four awesome bloggers today to share five random things about my week:

April at Smidge of This for Five on Friday, Karli at September Farm for Oh Hey Friday, Amanda at Meet at the Barre for Friday Favorites and Erika at A Little Bit of Everything for Friday Favorites.

Let’s get started!

Number One

Personally, I’m not a big gym person, I love working out at home. I don’t get as distracted and I feel like I just do better because I’m not worried about what else is going on around me. On Monday I shared some at-home workout ideas so if you missed it you can check that out here.

Number Two

This week’s episode of Fixer Upper was a tear jerker, especially the end.

I was balling my eyes out.

The Gaines teamed up with R.G. III’s foundation, Family of 3, to renovate a Vietnam vet’s home. It was so sweet to watch the Grahams tour their newly renovated home and as always Chip and Jo did an amazing job.

Jo teamed up with Jimmy Don to make this amazing metal sign with the Army song lyrics since Mr. Graham was in the Army. You can check out the full renovation before and afters here.

Number Three

I started following How Sweet It Is on Instagram after making her 30-Minute Buffalo Chicken French Breads one night.

If you haven’t made this stuff before, you need to stop what you’re doing, get the ingredients and make it. It’ll knock your socks off.

Anywho, back to my story.

So, I follow her and she posted a picture…

Of this:

White Bean Soup with Crumbled Bacon AND Spiced Brown Butter What?!

If it tastes anything close to as good as it looks I’ll be a happy camper. I haven’t tried this recipe yet, but the weather is going to suck this weekend so I’m thinking it’ll be the perfect time to whip this up. I’ll keep y’all posted on how it goes.

Number Four

I know what I’ll be doing this Sunday!

I am so excited and happy with how far the Cowboys have gone this year AND they’ve done it all with a rookie quarterback. It’s amazing.

Number Five

I always try to make sure my cat, Ms. Kay, is inside at night. Wednesday night I remembered seeing her come inside with Corey and our dog Molly. For some reason when we went to bed it didn’t feel like she was inside, but I could’ve sworn I saw her come in and I didn’t remember letting her out again so I just figured she was creepin around somewhere.

I should’ve listened to that voice more because something happened to her when she was out Wednesday night.

Luckily, her wounds aren’t as bad as the first time she got into it with something (she had 4 puncture wounds and needed to have a drain put in). She has two cuts, the vet used glue to close them instead of stitches because they weren’t too deep. She’s got a cut on the inner corner of her eye, but her actual eye is fine and her front arm is sore and bruised.

Ms. Kay has quite the attitude when no bodily harm has come to her, so when something like this happens, it’s rough. For all of us.

The vet thinks she got into it with another cat, but whatever it is, I’m about to go Liam Neeson on it.

This is a picture from the first time she had to rock the dreaded e-collar.

As you can probably guess, she was not amused.

That white thing is a pipe cleaner, she likes to play with them so I stuck one in there for her.

That’s all for today folks, have an awesome weekend!

No, she definitely doesn’t look amused. But I’m so glad she is going to be perfectly okay! Happy Weekend!
